Watch Your Mouth and Your Mind: Why What You Say and Soak in Shapes Everything

Let’s get right to it: Your words are spells.
No, not in the fairy godmother, bibbidi-bobbidi-boo sense (though who doesn’t want a sparkly wand?), but in the “your subconscious is listening and taking notes like it’s gospel” kind of way. Every time you say “I’m so tired,” “I’m broke,” “I’m just not good enough,” the Universe, and more importantly, you start to rearrange them to prove you right.
Wild, huh?
Here’s the part we don’t always like to admit: Most of the time, the cage we feel trapped in was built brick-by-brick with our own words. Quiet, offhand comments that seemed harmless at the time, but repeated often enough, they became identity. A belief. A blueprint.
And suddenly, you’re living in a home constructed out of “I can’t,” “I’m not ready,” “Who am I to…”
Oof. Let’s not do that anymore.
Let’s talk about the power of the tongue. Yes, it’s biblical. Yes, it’s energetic. Yes, it’s science. Your nervous system, energy field, and emotional regulation all respond to the words you use, especially the ones you whisper to yourself when no one’s listening.
So what if we flipped the script?
What if we stopped painting ourselves with outdated labels and started declaring who we’re becoming?
🌀 I’m not tired—I’m tuning into my body.
🌀 I’m not broke—I’m making space for new abundance.
🌀 I’m not a mess—I’m in the middle of a magical metamorphosis.
You don’t need to lie to yourself. You just need to start framing your experience in a way that empowers rather than drains you. That’s not delusion. That’s creation. That’s alchemy. And babe, that’s the whole point of this human/spiritual hybrid journey we’re on.
Now, let’s zoom out a bit.
Because it’s not just what you say that matters. It’s what you soak in.
You become what you consume.
Read that again.
Suppose you’re constantly marinating in negativity, whether it’s the content you scroll through, the conversations you sit in, or the energy of environments that suck the life out of you. Don’t be surprised when your thoughts start trending in the same direction.
Your mind isn’t a fortress. It’s a sponge. It absorbs everything.
We like to think our thoughts are “ours,” but more often than not, they’re just echoes. Echoes of the voices we’ve allowed into our headspace, some loving, some … not so much. And unless you get really intentional about who gets airtime in your mental auditorium, those echoes can turn into your inner monologue.
Think about that. Who’s narrating your life?
Is it your higher self, with grounded wisdom and celestial sass? Or is it that cranky aunt, toxic ex, or algorithm-fed fear factory telling you what’s possible?
Here’s a radical thought: You don’t have to let everything and everyone in. In fact, you shouldn’t.
You get to curate your life like it’s your favorite playlist. You get to mute, unfollow, unfriend, and unsubscribe – energetically and literally – from anything that doesn’t uplift, inspire, or reflect the truth of who you’re becoming.
This is sacred work.
This is mindfulness in action. Soul Coaching® in motion. This is how you protect your energy, as if it were your most prized possession, because it is.
So, here’s your invitation:
✨ Start catching your inner dialogue like it’s spilling secrets. Because it is. It’s revealing what you believe about yourself.
✨ Start speaking to yourself like you’re your own best hype woman/man, coach, and healer rolled into one. Because you are.
✨ Start paying attention to your inputs. If it drains you, dulls you, or derails your peace, it doesn’t belong in your sacred space.
You don’t owe access to anyone or anything that doesn’t align with your becoming.
Your mind, your energy, your words … they’re your tools. Your temple. Your magic wand. Start using them on purpose.
Because your life isn’t happening to you. It’s being shaped by you … word by word, thought by thought, scroll by scroll.
So go ahead, speak like a creator. Think like a guardian. Protect your vibe like your next level depends on it.
Because it kinda does. 😉
With love, intention, and a little mindful magic,
Judy
